Privacy Policy
GoodClawd ("we", "us") lets you upload a family photo and pet reference photos so that AI image editing can add your pet into the family photo. Because your photos may show you, your family, children, and your home, we keep data handling minimal and time-limited. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
- Photos you upload: one target family photo and 1–4 pet reference photos.
- Generated images: the AI-edited preview and final image created for your order.
- Order data: order ID, timestamps, generation settings, payment status, and an access token stored in your browser so you can return to your order. We do not require an account or registration.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we store only the Stripe session and payment identifiers needed to confirm your purchase.
2. How we use your photos
Your uploads are used only to create your preview and final image, and to provide support for your order (for example, a redo if you are unsatisfied). We do not:
- publish, sell, or share your photos or results for marketing without your explicit permission;
- use your photos to train AI models;
- make your uploads or results publicly visible. Order images are accessible only with the access token issued to your browser.
3. Service providers we share data with
- OpenAI (image processing): your uploaded photos are sent to OpenAI's image editing API to generate your result. Per OpenAI's API data usage policies, API content is not used to train their models by default.
- Stripe (payments): handles checkout and card processing.
- Hosting infrastructure: stores your photos and order data while your order is active.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
4. How long we keep your data
Uploaded photos, previews, and final images are automatically deleted 30 days after your order is created. Please download your final image within that window. Basic order records (order ID, timestamps, payment status — not the photos themselves) are retained longer for accounting and fraud prevention.
5. Children's privacy
GoodClawd is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the service is not directed at children. Family photos you upload may show minors; by uploading, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you have the guardian's permission. If you believe a child's photo was uploaded without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.
6. AI transparency
All results are AI-edited images, not unedited photographs. Previews carry a visible watermark, and final downloads include embedded metadata identifying the file as an AI-edited commemorative image.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we delete photos automatically after 30 days and do not build user profiles, most requests amount to early deletion — email us with your order ID and we will delete your photos and generated images promptly.
8. Security
Order images are protected by per-order access tokens, final images require payment verification, and data is retained only for the limited period above. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid uploading photos you are not comfortable processing online.
9. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date above and note the change on this page before it takes effect.
